Football signs four from 2009 Indiana State Championship team

Kentucky Wesleyan College head football coach Brent Holsclaw announced his second wave of earlier signees by adding four student-athletes from 2009 Indiana State Champion Reitz High School in Evansville, Ind.

Joining the Panther program are Alordo Bell, Mike Clem, Tony Ewers and Shane Woodget.

“To add four standouts from a state championship is very rare and we are very please these young men believe in our program," said Holsclaw. "These student-athlete bring talent, skill and size on both sides of the ball.

Bell, a 5-7, 175-pound running back from Reitz High School.
    *2009 Associated Press All-State honorable-mention selection and all-conference award winner.
    *Rushed for 1,064 yards on 188 carries and 16 touchdowns.
    *Two-year starter for the Panthers.

Clem
, a 6-3, 350-pound offensive lineman from Reitz.
    *2009 Indiana Football Coaches Association first team All-State and all-conference honoree.
    *Two-year starter for the Panthers.

Ewers, a 6-3, 235-pound, defensive end from Reitz.
    *First team All-State selection by the Associated Press and Indiana Coaches Association (ICA).
    *Named one of Indiana's Top 50 prep players for all classes by the ICA>
    *Acculumated 206 total tackles with 125 solos.
    *Earned All-Evansville, All-Metro and all-conference recognition.
    *Three-year starter for the Panthers.

Woodget, a 6-3, 230-pound, defensive end and outside linebacker, from Reitz.
    *2009 Associated Press All-State honorable-mention selection and first team all-conference winner.
    *Produced 157 total tackles including 95 solos.
    *Received All-Evansville and All-Metro honors.
    *Two-year starter for the Panthers.   

Kentucky Wesleyan is a member of the Great Lakes Football Conference and NCAA Division II.
