Kentucky Wesleyan, host of the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship this weekend, finshed No. 5 in the final weekly National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25 men's basketball poll of the 2009-10 season today.
The No. 1 seed Panthers (29-4) will play No. 8 seed and fellow Great Lakes Valley Conference member Saint Joseph's (17-11) on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT. Tickets for the NCAA Midwest Region Men's Basketball Championship go on sale Monday, March 8 at 8 a.m. in the lobby of the Woodward Health and Recreation Center.
This marks the 307th time, a Division II record, KWC has been in the Top 25 since the ratings started in 1961.
Arkansas Tech returned to No. 1 and the only other GLVC teams in the poll were No. 9 Southern Indiana and No. 19 Bellarmine.
