Women's tennis announces banquet award winners

Alicja Augustynska receives Most Valuable Player Award.

Alicja Augustynska captured the Most Valuable Player Award at the Kentucky Wesleyan College women's tennis annual awards banquet on Monday night, as announced by head coach Eric Larue.
       
Augustynska, a junior from Nowa Wies, Poland, earned the award with nine singles wins and eight doubles wins.
       
Maddy Bogle, a sophomore from Terre Haute, Ind. (South HS), received the 110 percent Award and was voted Team Captain for the 2010-11 season. She produced 10 singles wins and combined for 12 doubles wins.
       
Jamie Brown, a freshman from Otwell, Ind. (Pike Central HS) won the Most Improved Award. She had 10 single wins including seven at the No. 4 flight and seven victories in doubles.
       
Alycia Lynch, a junior from Lawrenceville, Ill. (Lawrenceville HS), earned the Academic Award for the highest grade point average.  She had a total of nine wins in singles and doubles combined.
       
Arielle Mobley, a freshman from Batesville, Ind. (Batesville HS), collected the Team Player Award. She participated in 12 singles and doubles matches.
       
Jennifer Settle, a senior from Owensboro, Ky. (Daviess County HS), received the Senior Achievement Award. She compiled 19 wins  including nine single victories.
       
The Panthers finished the season with a 9-9 record marking the most wins since 2005.
