Kentucky Wesleyan lost two one-run softball games to Southern Indiana in Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Wednesday afternoon at Foster Field in Owensboro.
USI's Brooke Harmening pitched a no hitter and struckout seven and Kristen O'Haver hit the game-winning home run in the top of the eight inning as the Screaming Eaglesto edged the Panthers 1-0.
Ashlee Winstead threw a complete game, produced 12 strikeouts and gave up six hits in the loss.
In the second contest
Traci Sanders hit a RBI single scoring Megan Sallee and
Angie Camp posted a RBI fielding error bringing
Ashley Crooke across the plate for a 2-0 lead in the first.
The Screaming Eagles responded with three in the second and one in the fourth for a 4-2 advantage. Sanders tied the game at 4-4 with a two-run double scoreing Crooke and Sallee.
USI's Kara Werner produced the game-winning double RBI in the top of the seventh for the 5-4 victory
Kayla Meny started on the mound and went five innings.
Jordan Vertz closed the final two innings to received the loss.
The Panthers (16-28, 11-21 GLVC) will host Lewis on Saturday.
