In the first contest, Northern Kentucky scored the first run in the second inning before KWC responded.
The Panthers came back in the fifth with a RBI single from
Josh Vance to score
Max Aubrey to tie the score at 1-1. Aubrey also collected two of KWC's seven hits.
The Norse broke open the game in the seventh with three runs for the final 4-1 tally.
Jon Wandling (2-3) received the loss while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.
Tyler Emberton and
Noah Boswell both threw 1.1 innings in relief.
In the second game, the Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a run in the first and second but could hold on as NKU scored one in fourth and three in the fifth for the 4-2 victory.
Wandling had three hits in four at-bats and scored two runs. Vance once again recorded two hits including a double plus drove in the Panthers second run.
Nathan Hedgepath's hit-by-pitch drove in the first run
Tyler Edge (2-3) produced five strikeouts in throwing 4.1 innings in the second loss of the day.
Chaz Simpson closed the final 2.2 innings with two strikeouts and no hits facing nine batters.
KWC (13-13, 7-11 GLVC) will host Northern Kentucky (21-9, 14-2) on Saturday at noon to wrapup a four-game series.
