2015: Academic All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection...participated in all six meets...lead the Panthers at the NCAA Midwest Region Championship meet with a time of 34:55...recorded a four-mile top time of 23:44.66 at the Maryville Invitational meet...finished in second place for the Panthers at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship meet with a season best 8K time of 28:16.

2014: KWC Fall Sports Panther Award winner for his example of unselfishness, teamwork and character… Great Midwest Athletic Conference Runner of the Week on Sept. 29 for his fourth place finish at the Maryville Open with a 8k time 27:50.…competed in all 11 meets…collected two Top 10 finishes...recorded a 6k best time—20:25 with a fourth place finish at Southern Indiana’s Stegemoller Classic on Sept. 5…finished 10th at KWC’s Fast Cats Classic with a 27:59…produced an 8k best time—27:34 at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship at Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park on Nov. 8…posted a 10k best time—35:02 at the NCAA Midwest Region Championship at Evansville’s Angel Mounds State Park on Nov. 22.

2013: Competed in all seven meets...recorded a 6k best time—21:50.5 at Southern Indiana's Stegemoeller Classic...posted an 8k best time—29:04.90 at Vanderbilt Invitational...registered a 10k best time—38:23.0 at NCAA Midwest Regional Championship.

Shelbyville High School: Four-year letterwinner for the Rams…coached by Kevin Kraner…selected senior captain…recorded a 2.8 mile best 16:00 at the 2012 Regionals…produced a personal record 16:13.00 in the Three-Mile Run at the State Championship as a senior…voted team captain. Other sports – Competed on track squad for three seasons. Academics: Inducted into National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society…member of High Honor Roll…received Outstanding Life Science Student…graduated 11th in class.

Personal: Born October 10, 1994 in Mattoon, Ill…son of Brian and Debbie Applegate…has one brother…father played four seasons at defensive for the Monmouth College football team...zoology major.
