INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2017-18 All Great Midwest Athletic Conference men's basketball team was announced on Wednesday night, with
Malek Harris of the Kentucky Wesleyan College men's basketball team receiving Honorable Mention accolades.
After missing over a third of the season due to injury, Harris stormed back to score 251 points to average 13.2 per game. The junior shot 49.7% from the floor while grabbing 150 rebounds, 110 of which were defensive. Harris dished out 46 assists while tabbing 16 steals and five blocks.
The Chicago, Ill. native recorded three double-doubles while reaching double figures in scoring in 15 games.
The Panthers earned the No. 8 seed in the 2018 G-MAC tournament and will take on the No. 1 seed and nationally ranked No. 11 University of Findlay at 5 pm CT on Thursday.
